People warn you against raising accusations with absolutely nothing to back them up but your own speculations. Very different things, mate.People warn me not to post here. So I'm quiet now.
Yes and if he even has a salary I really doubt the salary level is directly tied to the grant. It is probably a set or fixed amount already regardless. Most NPO's do it that way.if she’s not voting on that funding and where it is going, and if she’s not actively working for the NPO, what’s the conflict? Also, we’re talking about dollars in the low 5 figures…. This isn’t some massive conspiracy. The city has grants for these sorts of initiatives all the time.
Most councillors stand to gain/lose more on their primary residences through zoning decisions. And those gains aren’t subject to income tax like a grant to a NPO that Ashley’s husband might take a small salary from…

That's not the article I'm referring to. You are all super kind and forgiving of the conflict of interest of the position entirely. I'm not referring to YEG Garden Suites only.I’ve looked. I’ve read the Western Standard article. The article itself admits they did not find any examples of her voting while in a conflict of interest. They made a vague allegation that voting on the full zoning bylaw renewal could have been seen as furthering YEGarden Suites, which is such a stretch.
EVERY councillor has potential conflicts of interest because they are all people with families and private interests. The thing that matters is what happens when those conflicts arise in their work. For Salvador, it appears that she has always acted appropriately.
Most likely ridiculous, and either way would be impossible to prove. Even when election fraud happens at scale with strong evidence, people don't seem to mind.nonetheless suggesting a candidate willingly tried to cheat an election with no merit is ridiculous.
You provided absolutely no evidence of the conflict of interest, which is what I find alarming. It's not a matter of us being forgiving and kind, but of these allegations having nothing of substance behind them. That's not the article I'm referring to. Did some quick math. Calgary has 13.3% more voters than Edmonton, but 61% more voting stations.Still saddened by the low turnout seen in so many of the muni elections. As a comparable big city I saw Calgary was around 39% compared to 30% in Edmonton. I wonder what analysis could explain that fairly significant delta?
