If a city was to backtrack on their rezoning, which was a requirement I thought of receiving that significant investment of federal housing accelerator money, I wonder what would happen with those dollars.
This is a very good point - but I'm pretty sure failure to hit HAF benchmarks only affects future payments. I've not heard of the GoC clawing back money from municipalities that regress on their LUBs (cough Beaumont cough).

Open to being wrong.

It's not shocking that there are a lot of people who want to make this A Thing, but it's not A Thing, at least if the Western Standard article is all we have to go on. By the standard they use, I'd bet that most of the councillors should've recused themselves.
Let's not be blind to stuff though. I lean left and am suspicious of the connections here. YEG Garden Suites even received funding from the City of Edmonton while she was councilor. I like her and align with her, but I don't think the two worlds can ethically mix. Anyone can see what's out there. I don't discount certain sources just because they are right leaning. There are points you can't ignore.

Who is running this popsicle stand?

100% of ballots are now counted, and Morgan maintained similar margin.

Looks like Thu Parmar wins Sipi in the recount. But to go from -6 votes to +600 is a wild recount. What is going on with the Elections team?! They must have missed a whole box!

Ballot boxes were also missed in Ward Metis and another ward, but those vote differences were significant enough that they are not expected to impact results.

Pretty crazy to see that big a change in this vote count.

What is crazy is Friesen's vote count went down 20 votes and hers increased by more than 600. What is going on.

Original result he has 6060

New result with new ballots counted, he has 6040.

If I were Friesen I'd want a full report of everything that went down.

Yup, also strange that with his original total of 6060 votes, he had 27.34% of the total vote.
Now, with fewer votes, 6040, he actually has a higher % of the total vote at 27.5%. That means the total vote count overall had to have dropped even though 600+ extra votes were added to her total.

I expect there is a 'reasonable' explanation for it all - I look forward to hearing what happened.
