North service Road east of Dixie has been completely removed from Google Maps!
That because it doesn't exist anymore with the new QEW off ramp partly built with the new ramp to Dixie Rd in place. Same goes for the old Dixie connection to the North Service Rd as it is gone as well.

Coming off the QEW for Dixie Rd, the new ramp road is still not open as it is waiting paving and patching various section. Crew working on more sound barrier wall. You will hit the temporary ramp that now connects to Dixie Rd. The new North Service Rd off Dixie is now open going eastbound with the westbound still close off.

Had a looked at the Ogden new walkway. The ramp is in place as a duel lane and is paved. Crew placing steel post to support the ramp hand rail on the north side. Concrete pour for the bridge walkway.

A block east and west of the plaza is the start/end of 4 lanes of traffic that is in various stages of being built with an opening of summer 2025.

The south side ramp is about 80% built and been heated with the remaining ramp to be built.

They finally fix the curve at Sherway that has gone back to the way it was before, excepted using the new bridge now. Never stop off to have a close look, but the closed roads are still closed and saw no work taking place..

Noticed miWay has removed that bus stop for the on/ramp for the QEW intersection as it made no sense in the first place if there is no northbound stop as well. There wasn't a need for it for the old road and I don't see a need one for the new one.

They have poured a barrier wall for the curve coming off the eastbound QEW along with some retraining wall support. Not sure why a base being lay for a road between the eastbound off ramp and the on ramp.

The old westbound off ramp to Dixie has been fully removed with equipment sitting on it in a row. The old road from Sherway to the new off ramp torn up,

They have built the last section ramp for the southside Ogden walkway and waiting railing. The northside ramp handrail is about 75% complete with it paved as well for the bridge.

Hard to say what will take place over the winter months and don't think any more road work will take place after this coming week.

Some unedited/tag shots that will be on line in January along with the other ones

Pedestrian bridge is open now. Still work to do with the fencing surrounding it, but open to public
That quick from me shooting it only 9 days ago. What did they used for protection on the bridge as I saw a pile of railing for it?? It will be some time before I get back to the area at this time to have a look.

Looking at the traffic cam, we can see some railing installed, hard to decipher the exact material used from this far.

On the main span of the bridge the railings are up. For the south ramps, they have temporary railings attached to the concrete. Looks like they still have temporary supports between the ramps of the concrete as well. It looks like fencing that's secured to the temporary wooden rails. I'll try to get a picture of it later.

North Ramps are up, but the corner fencing isn't yet complete. There's also a handrail in the middle of the ramps.

There's also temporary lighting along the ramps.

Here's a picture of the temporary fencing. It's anchored to the temp poles put up between the ramps on the lower level. On the upper level it's anchored to aluminum posts.

I heard a rumor that there is a supplier issue which is why the permanent fencing is missing. Not sure if that's true or not.

What’s the betting odds on how fast a “they lied” sticker gets slapped on the pedestrian bridge?

Had a look at the walkway today and this what I saw.

The north side ramp corners still missing like my last visited and hand rail has been installed in the centre of the ramp. Not all of the up ramp has railing in place to hold on to.

Bridge wise, all handrail in place.

South ramp has no handrail at all considering it wasn't completed until a week before Christmas as well shutting down the site for the winter. Temporary fencing in place and safe to use the ramp.

Counted 6 people using the the walkway in the short time I was there

A crew was looking at the generator on the south side an not sure what they were doing in the area other than looking at a few things. Looks like some of the guard rail for the QEW has been removed and most likely a barrier wall will be built next to the sound barrier for the new eastbound off ramp.

The North Service has been shifted closer to the plaza with a south sidewalk that will most likely see the existing sound barrier shifted north to allow for the new QEW westbound on ramp.

Jan 18 and 19
The north Service Rd west of the place to Dixie Rd is being shifted to the north as well being made narrow to allow for the new Dixie Rd on ramp as well for the future HOV lane. The eastbound QEW shoulder guardrail is being removed to make room for the off ramp to Dixie Rd and for the future HOV.

The centre guardrail has been removed with a new style barrier that is thinner than the old one and about 20' long. Will make little protection for stopping vehicles going from one direction into the other direction lanes in an accident crashing into to it. It most likely temporarily until a new one is built this year

All photos for both days are on line up on my site.

Saw a sign on the West Mall north of the Queensway saying starting April 11 that access to the QEW for it as well Evans Ave will be close. This will allow the remaining work on the new QEW off ramp to Dixie Rd as well for the new Dixie Rd on westbound ramp to the QEW.

It is possible that the QEW lanes will be reduce to 2 lanes to all for both on/off rams in both directions. Even after the ramps are built, 2 lanes may remain to allow the building of the new centre barrier to be built.

Expect long traffic backup for most of the summer to fall using the QEW for both directions.
