Today from the Rosedale end. They’re power washing the bridge, so maybe that’s a sign of impending opening?
I live close to that bridge and noticed them doing the power washing before. It's frustrating how this bridge has appeared to be substantially completed for months now yet still remains closed.Today from the Rosedale end. So we're going to get "natural" murals, or whatever people decide to spray paint?Momentarily, some photos........... but first...........some news.
Spoke to the crew on site, yesterday. Bridge will open within two weeks. They are waiting on Hydro to turn the power on for the lights, and otherwise just some minor touch-ups.
To the best of the crew's knowledge, no murals are contemplated for the bridge/tunnel facings.

Construction Update - May 2025
The City of Toronto is targeting opening the Glen Road Pedestrian Bridge (Morley Callaghan Footbridge) across Rosedale Valley Ravine and the pedestrian tunnel under Bloor Street East that connect the the neighborhoods of Rosedale and North St. James Town to the public by the end of May 2025.
While all other construction activities are finished, the bridge and tunnel will remain closed, and you may notice a temporary pause in on-site activity. This is expected as Toronto Hydro must complete the connection and testing of the new lighting system before the bridge and tunnel can safely open. This work is anticipated to begin the week of May 26 and is expected to take one week to complete.
Travel lanes on Bloor Street East have been restored for people driving and cycling.
