Old Yale Beaumont opened last week - heard nothing but great things from a bunch of folks. I plan on being there this weekend, closing the place down and stumbling home in the dark - 10 min walk to my house. For those of you who do not live in Beaumont, can't see it being a place to venture to, unless you do a lunch run to "Chartier" for their "Smoked Meat sandwich," than to Jeff's Cafe (next door) for their Coconut Cinnamon roll, than Happy Hour to Old Yale for a few gallons of their "Mexican Lime Lager?" That's what I would do if I didn't live here....lol..

This has got to be one of the most cursed restaurant spaces in the city. Used to go there for lunch once a week when it was Pho Langs pre-2020 and god knows how many different restaurants it was prior to that.
Yes, I was thinking the same. I work nearby and so many places have come and gone here. Most were decent, some were good. It is partly the location, not quite prominent or central enough to attract enough business.

The area is quiet in evenings and weekends, so parking availability is often fairly good, but of course you now have to pay for street parking then.

The area is busy during the day with people who work in the all the office buildings nearby, but more the grab a quick bite lunch crowd, not so much a sit down restaurant crowd.
