I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned yet

My guess is that there has been a lot of “looking over your shoulder” on this team for the last 6-8 weeks leading up to the trade deadline. This seems to be a particularly tight team in the dressing room with lots of friendship and camaraderie that probably felt under siege. I think the additions that were made - making the team younger and bigger and a little nastier - without shipping anybody out will turn out to be good management decisions. I also think the decisions to let Holloway and Broberg go were similarly a management decision not to let others put self before team. Here’s to lots of play LaBamba baby over the next three months.

Walman looks solid, Jones too.

Our 3rd-4th needed a shake up and gut check, so here's hoping this is it.

Nurse looking particularly bad again last night with a lot of turnovers, misplays and giveaways.

Plus add in Frederic - so we are no longer the softest team in the League. Watching Bouch - don't know whether to laugh or to cry....."I constantly scream at the tv - JUST SHOOT THE PUCK!!!""

Impressed with Walman. Had no knowledge of him prior. But just the open ice hit on Rantanen was worth it. Bouchard was much quieter last night as Nurse-Walman had the most amount of ice. Can't wait for Ekholm to be healthy. In terms of depth, we know have lots. Defence, Klingberg, Stecher. Forwards, Jeff Skinner, and whoever when Frederic gets back in. We are heavier, meaner, and faster just like that. And with McDavid starting to look more like himself, we will be back to a 1-2 punch for offense which means opposing teams have to choose who to send their best against.
