Don't replace the tower, just enlarge it. There was an engineering study done many years ago that said the foundation and shaft could be extended another 100m or so.

Just leave the tower alone.

Enlarging is the worst idea. It's a major alteration creating a facsimile than preservation of this landmark. A nicer inspired KFC bucket could be built without blowing the bank with all sorts of modern attractions.

I wish Truman (or any developer) would buy the First Canadian Centre site and build the originally proposed 64 storey tower. The foundations are already in - they could build it as residential, I don’t care as long as it’s built to the original design. Then I could die a happy man.

It's actually pretty cool to have a tower that is shorter than many of the buildings. It's a good reminder of the history of the city and just imagining how different it looked when the tower was rising above the rest.

Nothing to do with the Calgary tower or new supertall....Think more, something high end that "Calgary doesn't have but needs". There are a lot of things coming down the pipeline in the next 3 years.

A real art museum with a permanent collection? All these rich ‘philanthropists’ and this city has little to show for the arts.
