2 days to go anyone have any new pictures of the "finished product"
Got stuck on the highway while Bosnian team bus got police escort up the 427 yesterday.
Aerial shots will be slim pickings during the tournament due to the drone ban radius around the stadium and extending to liberty village.

I will be at the game on Friday (including the pre-game march to Trinity Bellwoods so I'll get as many phone shots as I can

I actually think the stadium looks not bad. Kinda of a gritty, utilitarian feel, but I am ok with that. I do still think Toronto is missing a large multipurpose football stadium, but alas, we need a tenant to get that one.

Outside of once-in-a-lifetime hosting of the World Cup what other events would we need something larger than 30K for?

Concerts that are currently getting booked at Rogers Stadium that can't fit into the Blue Jays schedule.

They found a way to shoe-horn a dozen shows in the past, surely they can do it in the future as well. My impression was always that Rogers Stadium was a test-run for an NFL stadium on that site to serve this purpose, as NFL stadiums are notoriously empty 95% of the year. Anyway, speaking of the NFL...
A shiny new NFL team LOL, mega concerts, Big Events, and don't forget the monster truck shows 🤣🤣🤣
Ah yeah, the Rogers NFL team. Maybe it happens but we're talking about hypothetical things that seem increasingly unlikely. I almost would prefer a scenario where they continue expanding a multi-purpose BMO rather than building something new and duplicating the stadiums. But hey, maybe in the future there'll be a need for a 30K MLS stadium and a 60K NFL stadium in the same town (I think the NFL has a 50K permanent minimum requirement IIRC). Toronto's a big place afterall.

What would a "Big Event" be if not a concert or an NFL game?

As things currently stand there's no need for a larger multi-purpose stadium than what both BMO and SkyDome offer.

I think the minimum for NFL is 60-65k and 75k if you want a Super Bowl.

I don't believe the first number is correct as teams are increasingly beginning to push down on that 60K figure.

We won't need to worry about hosting a Super Bowl unless Rogers wants to milk our governments for a domed stadium.
