That is interesting, the NFL is definitely relaxing their capacity requirements for Super Bowls.

Many events the jet crowd considers "must be seen there" are chasing revenue rather than heads. Selling a pair of VIP seats for $120k produces more revenue than 10 normal seats for $3k each in the same amount of space.

F1 Monaco, America's Cup, certain Olympics events, etc are reducing seat counts to chase higher revenue from a small number of highly competitive (with regard to social status) individuals.

Watching on TV, I think Toronto looked amazing as a city. The stadium is passable but when you really think about it, the TV shots are focused on the field of play. Sure the "in stadium" experience may not be as good as it could be, but it is the city itself that needs to shine, from the visuals on TV broadcast to literally billions, to the experiences of those visiting (restaurants, entertainment, hotels etc).

the experience in Toronto is among the best amongst all the host cities. central stadium accessible by walking or multiple transit modes, right in the city. Toronto in the summer is hard to beat for vibes

Not only that, visitors from all over the province, Canada, and the World are able to get to the stadium without a giant parking garage there too... it's a modern miracle!
