Four separate departments and ministers. Hasn't she created a new bureaucratic vortex? I feel some gaslighting happening here ... again.
Since she just announced that all GoA communications will fall directly under her purview, you can rest assured that all messaging on this matter will be nothing but glowing, specifically as it pertains to the UCP, and Smith's unwavering infallibilty.

Well, perhaps unlike other things, she wouldn't want communications to fall into a bureaucratic vortex, it is too politically important so no four ministers for that!
 
I never thought we'd see these results. I guess the GoA is done pursuing that in favour of fearmongering seperation.

There would have been some advantages on paper (because the CPP active management strategy is generally not the best), but based on the "performance" or lack thereof of AIMCo, having the GoA administer pensions would have been yet another bureaucratic disaster.

We have the 6th best pension plan in the WORLD. The World. The CPP is just fine.

And with Carney, an econmost involved now, I can't foresee it getting worse.

Well with the previous PM, who became a lightning rod for so much discontent, gone perhaps the Alberta government has now finally realized the pension battle is not worth them fighting.
 
NDP win both seats in Edmonton, UCP wins in Olds-Didsbury-Three Hills.
Kind of wild that >10% of the population in Ellerslie voted for a party other than the NDP or UCP.
 
I love how they have a blurb about community standards at the top of the sewer that is their comments page. And of course there is the ubiquitous wisdom of David Staples on All The Topics. How can you possibly walk away from all that?! 🤣

Now, now…. reading David Staples can be quite therapeutic for people with hypotension.
