Watching the French Liberal leadership debate...i can see that he (Carney) must have been practicing, and looks much better. I am much more confident it is sufficient for the French speaking population.I'm not certain that is passable...he struggles reading and he's reading a script. Show me off the cuff...

Me too. If Carney wins the next election we can thank Trump for bringing Canadians to their senses about radical conservativism. The Libs are rapidly closing that massive gulf the CPC had just weeks ago. With Carney as leader I will definitely vote for them again. I was at the point where I couldn't get past Trudeau anymore, but that's no longer a factor.
I'll be voting for my local candidate, as I always do. In the last election, that was Alejandra Bravo (who lost to Julie Derovicz by 0.1%), but she's now the city councillor. I wonder if she'll quit and run federally again. I'd vote for her, and I think she'd have a good chance of winning it. But I'd probably vote for Julie if she didn't run. I voted Liberal in the provincial election because Marit Stiles is going to win in a landslide anyways.
@christiesplits has shocked me by not being the first to report.......that it appears Anita Anand is reversing her decision to exit politics and will run again after all.
With the end of the Pax Americana and the postwar rules based order, there is no place in Ottawa for Poilievre. If Canada ever needed an expert economist and globalist it’s now. I’ll support Carney hands down.I saw someone tweet this, but have forgotten who so I can't link it, but basically, the winner of the debate was Poilievre and Blanchette, because none of the Liberal candidates did themselves any favours with Quebec voters.
Poilievre has never adequately explained why he refuses to get security clearance. That's an extra red flag for meWith the end of the Pax Americana and the postwar rules based order, there is no place in Ottawa for Poilievre.
