So, a different take on this.Unfortunately, the only way we could have had longer trains is if the tracks were either underground or elevated so that the train lengths would not affect city blocks and Crossroads. Although with train frequency that shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I figure they could close cross streets and extend stops if it ever came to it. The biggest problem I can see for surface would be the Norquest stop.
Davies is probably the biggest impediment to lengthening trains. Probably not impossible either. As for the 2 West elevated stations. Maybe a bit easier with the side loading platforms?
