Good looking concrete job there. Overall this project is making great headway thus far this year.

Was Kichton on this job last year as an excavation sub? They've been doing a ton of the work around dt this year, nice seeing more contractors brought on.
They’ve been on it since 2021 if I remember correctly. Task concrete (seen in the picture) is a new contractor to this year

Why do the nice pedestrian crossings at this point in the project? Dollars to doughnuts those things get shredded and/or ripped up again during construction.
Good thing that would be covered by the contractor and even if it was after construction it’s covered by warranty… but ok

I thought the whole point was that all the construction at that intersection is being done in one shot. Hopefully no need for near future construction activities at those locations.

Go oilers!

Some interesting observations on the latest LRT construction video:
(1) Switch track forms being built around 184 Street on 87 Avenue.
(2) Sidewalks being poured along 87 Avenue eastbound around 163 Street.
(3) Concrete track foundation being prepared at 159 Street/87 Avenue intersection.
(4) Sidewalks/roadwork along Meadowlark Road.
(5) Paving along parts of 156 Street.
(6) Track slab at 156 Street/SPR.
(7) Road/sidewalk construction between 142 and 156 Street.
(8) Track construction along median of SPR to Groat Bridge. Another switch track around 135 Street.
(9) Construction progress around 121 Street-Groat Bridge.

Can someone call it in?

City couldn't run a sweeper in at the end of the station in front of the YMCA there? WTF?!

It's poorly kept overall, same with Churchill, but it's also because 25-30% of folks there are not riders...
