I’m sure Webber Greens isn’t that far away. Lewis Farms will be a departure point for bus routes west of AHD, including Lewis Farms Rec Centre. Also, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, and other nearby communities.

Adding a single transit transfer decimates choice ridership though. Especially when it’s to a bus with 15 minute or worse frequency.

Why take a 20min LRT, spend 10+ minutes waiting for the bus, then another 10 minutes on the bus when you can drive in 15 minutes? Especially if you have kids.

This is why our transit struggles. The little things matter a lot. Meadows and Lewis Farm rec centres were massive fails at not integrating rapid transit connections.
 
Beginning the week of April 14, 2025, 104 Avenue between 105 Street and 121 Street will be reduced to a single lane in either direction. This reconfiguration is expected to take several days to implement. Construction will also resume in the middle of 109 Street, north of 104 Avenue. Two lanes of north/south traffic will be maintained.This work is expected to last 12-weeks, at which time, some access closures will change. Lane reductions on 104 Avenue and on 109 Street will continue for the remainder of the construction season (approximately November 30). *During this time, the following work will be performed:
● Removal of sidewalks and roadways
● Underground utility work
● Installation of soil cells and tree pits
● Installation of permanent streetlights & traffic signals
● Installation of permanent concrete curbs, sidewalks and pavement
● Installation of track slab

*Marigold will issue a public notice ahead of these changes

On or around April 22, 2025, to accommodate Valley Line West LRT construction, the intersection of Stony Plain Road and 124 Street will be temporarily fully closed to vehicular traffic for approximately eight weeks.
During this closure, the following work will be performed:
