Here is my prediction. Time and money will be spent on figuring out the effects of completely shutting down major intersections. Meanwhile the construction schedule is up in the air somewhat. Information comes back that traffic will be a gong show. We go back to the original plan to keep traffic moving during construction.
I might be totally wrong but if intersections are totally closed down, there will probably be even more complaints about construction and minds of those in power will be changed again.
Let's try and have the resources needed to complete the current plan and do it, not change tack halfway through.
Just my thoughts and like I say I could be totally wrong :)

People said the same thing before transed closed 95ave…. At the end of the day city administration doesn’t really care

My biggest complaint is the lack of quality in the temporary paving they do as work progresses and changes sides. Seems to me it's no more difficult or expensive to do the job correctly. The paving as is, and if you drive these sections you know, bone jarring and vehicle damaging.

The constant bad repaving, redrawing of lines, and rerouting while developing the SE leg was atrocious. So far it seems like the west line has been a bit better, but maybe I'm just not on it enough.

I thought they would be, but I double checked the December 3 line-wide notice about upcoming changes, and realized that the work area shading covers the whole roadway, not just the west side they'll be moving to. Perhaps that was an oversight, but maybe they'll actually be closing both sides. There should be a site-specific notice before anything changes though, which will have more details.

I think the map shows the northbound lane clear with the turning arrows at the 107 Street/104 Avenue intersection.

So lots of upheaval to move it back to the original opening date?
Yeah. One thing I will say is MIP (Colas and Parsons) seem far more motivated to get back on schedule than transed ever did. Extending hours, bringing more resources in, more road closures, extending work into the winter. Plus they’re communicating the issues they’ve had and plans to get back on track. Transed was 2+ years behind on the shared use path and didn’t really care. Just kept pushing the opening back
