Can someone explain what is the deal with Line 2 trains slowing to a crawl midway between each station and then crawling into each station? I mean how the heck is anybody supposed to get around when service is this unreliable?

If the interim periods were identical to Line 6 (Finch), Line 5 (Eglinton) would open on January 8, 2026.

The only time I've ever seen this consistently, is when there's been an earlier issue, and the trains are all backed up, having to wait for the trains before to clear the next platform.
I've certainly not seen it anytime recently on Line 2. How long have you been seeing it for?
For the first time I've ever seen, there aren't any reduced speed zones on Line 2, in the December 1 update. And the remaining 4 on line 1 are trivial (each less than 200 metres, with only one having a significant reduction in speed (southbound Sheppard West to Wilson has 186 metres) where the speed is reduced from 46 km/hr to 20 km/hr).

How recently. That map is only from this morning. Last time I checked, on Friday, it was from Thursday, and instead of the 4 current zones, it showed 7 zones, including two at the west end of Line 2. And the post I replied to on Friday, had a map showing several zones east of Castle Frank - including between Victoria Park and Warden.
Perhaps the VP/Warden one reappeared and disappeared after Thursday, and before this morning? Or could just be a crew out on the tracks.

The marketing said 34 minutes end to end, for an average of 18 km/h. Now we're being told it could go as high as 46 minutes. JFC the hits keep on coming... 46 minutes implies an average speed of 13.4 km/h for a 10.3 km route. It is a farce that this is even on the TTC Subway map without a...
