Thought this would be worthwhile reposting in a more prominent thread:
If we seriously have to rename Pioneer Village again, then Maria Augimeri or her estate should cover the costs from renaming it from Steeles West originally.
They've shown that for a whileIs the Ontario Northland new at Union too?
GO lines not fitting just illustrates how squeezing a system map above the doors doesn't really work. Maybe it was fine for the Toronto of old with 2.5 subway lines and barebones commuter rail, but there just isn't room for our emerging system in that short space.I'm not sure how they'd fit. Even the strip maps for the lines other than 2 seems like overkill.
I'm also not sure the point, with the maps on the train walls being the best place for these - the ones that include the streetcar lines.
Montreal didn't used to have any maps over the doors. Did they add them?
The Montreal map on the train walls has always been a classic!
I believe the bus terminated at the coach terminal until the Union bus terminal opened, so there was a few years gapI don't believe Ontario Northland ever stopped serving Union Station. It's just been a bus service instead of a train service.
Damn, I'd already forgotten the coach terminal ever existed.I believe the bus terminated at the coach terminal until the Union bus terminal opened, so there was a few years gap
Ha! Not me. Apart from the fact that the current terminal is fully enclosed I don't think it does anything better than the old one. Nothing like having a 5 minute walk to the subway instead of 1.Damn, I'd already forgotten the coach terminal ever existed.
Living in Toronto perhaps. But the number of times I had to transfer from a train to a bus in Toronto, I wish the walk had been shorter and better signed. (invariably a subway with baggage).Ha! One of the Toronto Rocket seems to have an updated signage too. It seems they managed to fit in LED's into the map.Just saw this on a T1 train
