It seems like there's no update on this one. I chatted with one of the workers hired by the developer and they said its pretty much halted for now. not sure what the plan is.

issue is the house belonging to the builder that is boarded up is starting to become a hangout spot for drug users, and just a car parking lot on the grass.

so they removed the "windsor house coming soon" banners off of the fencing on the lot. has anyone heard anything from the developer if they're canceling? I wonder if they are trying to pull a change and increase the height significantly?

It says a lot that they couldn't get this going even at the height of the condo craze in a very desirable location.

Something is happening on this site now! Surveyors have been out almost daily. Marked the street about 4 houses down. And this morning it seems a drill for shoring is on site?

Permits from 2022 remain open but without any movement on them since 2024 right after NOAC was issued

They may be doing core samples... Pics of the site would be greatly appreciated!

Very odd as the site hasn't officially traded hands, but ONE filed for bankruptcy a while back. I wonder who's putting this forward now?

I wonder if they’re doing more testing to maybe re-submit for a higher rise building?

That rig is for borehole testing, not shoring. That would likely be in pursuit of updated plans, however because Royal York doesn't have PMTSA permissions (lol), I'm not sure how much more the proponent can expect to entitle. Savoy is going for 29 storeys down the street but they'll only get that at OLT and nothing is yet approved.
