Taken today:

Solar panels being installed and outdoor running track taking shape. Looks kinda small, once the park is fully complete, wouldn’t it just be better to go for a run in the park?

Does anyone know where to find renderings of the final approved plans for this phase of the park design? I couldn't find it in any of the documentation online through the planning and development site.

Do we know when the old community centre is going to be demolished? I had some great childhood memories there, would love to see it one more time — if it's not already too late.

It's not too late. I still use the weight room every day ;)

I used to swim in that pool and ride my bike to McDonalds and Galleria Mall to pick up a VHS rental. I now understand why people get upset with the death of shitty strip malls when everyone else exhales "good riddance". But that was my little strip mall.

I'll make sure to go for a swim there this Summer.

Personally I won't miss the mall at all. It was always a stridently anti-urban horror show.

The only plans I can still find on public websites are from this 2020 presentation, and the landscape architect's website. There are also some screencaps of the landscape plans in the earliest pages of this thread.
Ya I had seen these before but nothing with the BMX/Skate park rendered. I guess as a City amenity they don't go through the same documentation process the developers go through? Seems weird it wouldn't be somewhere online for public review.

I sometimes still have fond nostalgic memories of the old mall, but more for sentimental reasons. Saturday card shows where us silly kids would buy Pokemon and Yugioh cards. A time when the collecting hobby hasn't been fully ruined by scalper bros yet. Zellers when it was still a thing. That random video game kiosk while lasted where I bought my old Super Nintendo console. And other characters like that in-mall diner ran by old Korean ladies even though I didn't really eat there before, etc.
