Well, they went with a dark gray topper, how Canadi... err original. 
Matches the trim of the windows. I thought with how strong and deep that red is, they would do something to really make it pop even more. Ah well.

I'm kind of hoping that the red strips extend up past the roof slab a slight bit give it almost a medieval wall look at the top

They do in the renders, which have proven to be 100% accurate so far.

I’m with you. The huge, grey mechanical box looks awful. They had a chance to really make this building stand out with an interesting crown and likely chose the cheapest option.Well, they went with a dark gray topper, how Canadi... err original.

Note that the black trim is being added to all slabs in tandem with railing installation. The roof slab is thicker.

Suddenly the mechanical box doesn’t look that bad as it provides contrast for the red “medieval wall”.

That was kind of what was going through my head as they were cladding It was that was the idea menke's has done pretty good on their execution of most projects that I know of though I remember @Northern Light had pointed out one or two flops they had
