So what's going in the podiums of these? Restaurants? I can'reremember if there was a ground floor plan floating about in this thread.. itll be nice when this area is a little more built up around it.
This is the plan I have on record - there are 6 commercial spaces. Two on Wilson which are generally pretty small, plus two large ones on Hughson and John Sts, each. Not sure tenancy, I don't think the ones on Hughson or John will be particularly attractive.. probably going to end up being something more like a dentist or something on those ones, with cafes or similar along Wilson given the smaller size.

Emblem doesn't appear to desire to fill their units quickly nor with anything in particular, though unlike Vrancor doesn't seem to desire to let them sit vacant for a decade. Something is going in at 1 Jarvis, but I haven't had a chance to see what (if someone is in the area feel free to take a peak).

I can see the Hughson/John St hosting a more franchise style restaurant (like Wingstop or Kinton in the King William/Hughson buildings). Honestly more basic amenities would be welcome though. We have a great dentist downtown, but other amenities still kind of suck. There's no really good doctors downtown, especially if you have children, and other basics are still missing. With the closure of the pet store on Wilson we now have to drive to pick up cat food, so a pet store or some other essentials store would be great in this spot since they're more of a destination store.

I will take Ferguson once or twice a week and I went by today and the building permit is still in the window but it's a ghost town any time I ride by. There's nothing happening there.

I actually just went by, there's display cases on the floor and on the walls. Not too sure. Could be just another cannabis shop, or maybe a cigar shop, but they're selling something in displays.

I still think its crazy this building takes up almost an entire city block and the commercial units are so small in comparison.. that bike area is bigger than all the commercial areas in the building..
