I get it, I understand why there are Juliet balconies. The building is supposed to evoke the feeling of a European hillside, seaside village. These are supposed to contribute to that theme.

Except, functionally, these are not Juliet balconies. These are overbuilt windows. Less than a quarter of the surface actually opens to the outside. A real Juliet balcony with accordion style doors or double doors and a spoked railing can make a room feeling dramatically connected to the outside. On a comfortable day, they can make a room feeling amazing.

But these won't do that because they are literally overbuilt windows. And every penny wasted on these things could have ben put towards better exterior panels.

Then there are these stumpy balconies. I don't know if they're worse of better than the "Juliet balconies". You can't stand or sit on them because you have a sliding glass door with one panel that doesn't open. Are you going to stand in that slot with the pane of glass behind you? I would hate living with these things knowing how nice they could be if they were double doors (and unlike the Juliet balconies, the metal mesh would provide airflow). Again, money wasted on a non-functional aesthetic detail instead of the main issue which is the godawful white cladding.

...the better balcony arrangement are the ones setback here. To which seem to give the resident a lot of room to walk around and breath while pleasantly obscured from street level, IMO.

lol! However I was under the impression that there is going to one large space (Supermarket) and on smaller space for a nail salon!
