I don’t understand the grading - if you compare to the south side it’s significantly higher if it goes up to where the steps are. I can’t imagine they’re going to retrofit all of the buildings on the south side to be higher?
I asked about this a few months ago and reported back above. Basically the City told me that the grading of QQE will be changing once WT start upgrading it and the steps here are temporary.

Not disputing - just not sure I understand how they’d raise buildings on south side with lower at grade entrances - George Brown, Waterfront Innovation Centre, etc.

Even Daniels on the corner is really only raised once you’re about 30m east of Jarvis - everything west and north on that block is at the same grade.

Call me skeptical….

I do not think anyone is planning to raise the grade on south side. Here is my post from last fall

I wrote to Planning about the sidewalk levels and received the following quite hopeful message - well, hopeful IF we ever see the LRT!

".... good question – this streetscape is an interim condition that will exist until Queens Quay East is reconstructed for the Waterfront East LRT. The interim condition has to negotiate a difference between the existing grade of Queens Quay and the building designed at the future level of the street, which will be slightly higher (similar to what’s been constructed on the other side Richardson – see screenshot below). The ultimate condition will have continuous level sidewalk, as illustrated in these cross-sections:
