Don't know how much I can say, but there will be a large office space client announced in about 9 to 12 months time. I also grabbed some pictures.

Confirming this rumour. Major global industry leader. Anchor tenant for the space representing a double digit percentage of the GLA.

Good news for the node. They'll be making great use of the property's unique features as well.

Not asking for a hint per se :) But can you confirm if it's just a relocation from other office space within downtown or a net new entrant to Toronto (or downtown Toronto) ?

If rumors are correct, it would be a big lease for Carterra. Not Google, perhaps, but a world leader nevertheless.
So if this being true...was it worth it then? I mean, going about the "We'll build it and they will come" methodology here.

A vacancy of a year or two is a blip in the life of a building... as long as the developer can shoulder the carrying costs until the lease up. Assuming Carttera are around for a while yet, yeah, worth it.

I park in this building and just happened to see a couple of brokers/tenants setting up some renderings of the proposed anchor tenant signage this morning. I don't want to ruin anyone's announcement but as a hint... it is a Canadian Company.
