They (the Sheraton Centre/the City) should get rid of the ramp and kill two birds with one stone. That ramp along Queen is an urbanism disaster. There are enough other entrances to the City Hall garage that it would easily survive without that ramp. Plus you'd massively improve the pedestrian experience on Queen, and maybe finally the retail at street-level of the Sheraton Centre would have a chance of surviving since it wouldn't be such a miserable experience to walk along the south side of Queen.

I have advocated for this...... so far to no avail.

Running Room has opened in the TD Tower. Didn’t it just close there?
Did they change location? There has been a large group of retailers who are taking advantage of empty spaces in the PATH to either downsize/upsize or get a better location as their leases expire.

They're now in the old Johnston & Murphy corner space. I saw this morning that Indigo Spirit is also opening up in TD Tower.

Yeah they moved to a new space. I was walking through the TD Centre last weekend and there were staff carrying boxes from the old store to the new one.

It looks like Oxford is finally doing renovations to MetroCentre. When i passed through yesterday they were installing drywall around the columns near the escalators, other columns have had their finishings removed, large parts of the ceilings have been removed and some areas are taped off. All on the north side of the concourse, nothing seems to have been done on the south side or in the food court yet. I'll have to get pictures next time I'm there.

Not sure how I feel about them boxing-in the formerly round columns but we'll have to see what the finished product looks like.

Today the food court seating is now boarded off but access remains for the two remining food retailers. There is no longer seating in the area

For reasons that shall remain confidential, I have decided to find every PATH accessible Tim Hortons. Did I miss or misplace any?

Last week I was walking through the PATH system here and noticed that most, if not all of the shops were fully closed at 2:30 PM!

It got me to wondering how much change we are about to see here. There is no reason why almost all the shops should close that early. It was not like they were closed for a washroom break, the lights were off and everything.

The only businesses open were the hair salon and convenience store. Truthfully, I have never seen anyone in the hair salon with the staff usually sitting watching TV whenever I pass by.

Which part of the path? I am down there five days a week and have never noticed a trend of places closing at mid-day.

Was it a Friday? There are certainly a bunch of places that don't open at all on Fridays. It's become a four day economy down in the Path. Or even 3.5, since Mondays are fairly quiet too. But Tues-Thurs it's almost as busy as pre-pandemic.

It was Thursday afternoon last week. It was the section where they are doing all the construction. Everything was completely closed.

Thursday afternoon before a long weekend... very quiet.

Also, I'm shocked there hasn't been any new PATH Starbucks. I also miss the McCafe/McDonalds in Exchange Tower/TD Tower.

The one in Royal Bank Plaza is pretty new, though of course it just replaced what was probably the busiest one of them all before Covid.
