I am sure weather and adjacent density make it more viable in Vancouver.
I wouldn't mind a service here like the Vancouver False Creek water taxi services (I believe they are private) that continuously operate between various points -- if it was viable. Something like Ookwemin Minising, Cherry Beach, Ward's, foot of Sherbourne, Ferry docks, Peter St Slip (just to make things up)

The layout for the Port Lands incorporated several areas for docks so that part is built in! Btw I think that a lot of patrons of Rebel/cruise terminal would make use of a water taxi service. I would.

🤔 I wonder if we will see at least one or two of these public toilet designs added to the Ookwemin Minising Parks. I hope they don't plan on the old Firehouse being the only public toilet location.

Swan boats at all the islands, including Ookwemin would be nice for those of us who are canoeless
We went canoeing on the Humber on the weekend with canoes rented from Toronto Adventures, which you pick up right under the Old Mill bridge. You can be off the subway and paddling in the river in 15 minutes. Hopefully the city lets someone like that set up here.

The Firehouse will be the only permanent washroom located east of New Cherry Street.

There will also be washrooms in what we were calling Promentory Park.

I just got down there for the first time, it's amazing, phenomenal, incredible.

Especially when you remember what an industrial wasteland it was before. There are no words. The whole world needs to study what they've done.

Same same same. Went for the first time on Monday and my gf and I were blown away. Truly incredible what they've done here! Very excited for phase 2 to open next year!

Also, the playground was a lot bigger and better than I expected, even after seeing pictures. It honestly felt like the kind of attraction you would expect to pay admission to get into. All of the pump activated water features are genius.

Last week I was at the Biidaasige Park with my young nephew who absolutely loved playing with the sand, water, and going on the ziplines. As good as all the photos are, they don't do the area justice. It really is phenomenal. The only thing on a hot day is the lack of shade, which is noted on the city's website. There are a couple sun shades over one of the "sandboxes", but the area will be really spectacular in the coming years when the trees mature.

Not quite sure where this fits so i will put it here...

Recently someone has fenced off the northern section of the boardwalk at Jennifer Kateryna Koval's'kyj Park - foot of Polson Street. The section at the park remains open but the section past the trees is fenced off. I think all the dock walls are public and the fencing does not look like City fencing, are Rebel trying to take over?? It used to be a very popular photo shot location for weddings etc.
