This Project Update was reported to the FARM Committee last week:

The key accomplishments for Q3 2024/25 include:
 Completed finishes and progress deficiencies on New Cherry and Commissioners Streets in advance of hand over to the city February 2025.
 Completed Don Roadway dry utilities and progressed wet utilities.
 Progressed testing and commissioning of Interim Pumping Station (ISPS), Oil Grit Separator (OGS1) and Storm Water Treatment Facility (SWTF).
 Completed construction on Cherry Street South and Commissioners Street bridges.
 Completed old Cherry Lift bridge demolition including inspection of south dock wall.
 Completed foundations and substructure for new west bound Lake Shore bridge.
 Enbridge completed design for NPS 20 gas main.
 West plug - completed removal of panels and progressed finishes.
 North plug - completed removal of secant pile wall and advanced finishes within plug alignment.
 Initiated construction of interim sediment control berm north of Commissioners bridge.
 Completed design for state of good repair works to be completed on Gardiner Piers.
 Progressed dredging of Keating Channel by Ports Toronto.
 Completed construction of south anchor block for flow control curtain.
 Advanced soil and stone placement, fine grading pathways and other installations in Promontory Park South.
 Completed pathway base course asphalt in River Park North (90%) and River Park South (80%).
 
So I take it that the nasty wooden poles mentioned on the previous page are a permanent fixture? Too bad.
 
Regarding the Promontory Park South update noted above, there is no mention of when phase 2 of the Atlas Crane recoating will take place? Does anyone know when that is happening? Will phase 2 see the completion of the crane recoating? (i.e. the four vertical 'towers' on the left in the photo below.)

Last I heard the plan was always to have two phases: to do the north leg in the winter and do the rest of the crane when the weather is better - i.e. soon.
 
^Great! I believe that the levelled area is a lawn on the western edge of the river. Reposing opportunity!
 
So is the park actually opening this year? I went for a walk earlier this week and there is so much construction going on, nothing looks close to being done.
