That's like the 1 thing I don't say, lol. Too much of a run-on name, much simpler to just say line 1.Y/U/Spadina for the latter

Who knows. The process has been as opaque as coal.I presume Line 10 Hurontario is in a separate numbering from the TTC? Or did we just skip 7 through 9? (I know 7 and 8 are for projects not started yet; 9 seems to be completely non-existent.)
Doug build it fasterI'd say there's a 100% chance the line is only called "Ontario Line" until the ribbon cutting and not much long thereafter. Doug Ford just wants to take credit for it and if changing the Downtown Relief Line name to Ontario Line was what needed to be done to build the thing and get over downtown vs suburb rivalry, then fine.
It'll be Line 3 on a map and referred to as "the blue line" colloquially.
It sounds like someome decided "their" project should have a nice round number. Expect the next few routes to be Lines 20, 25, etc. And of course there will never be a Line 13, just like the building I live in does not have a 13th floor.Who knows. The process has been as opaque as coal.
I can't think that once Line 10 is operating, that TTC would have another Line 10. I also don't think any of us will live long enough to be worried about that issue, within the TTC operating area
It's Line 10 because Hurontario Street was traditionally known as Highway 10. In older parts of Mississauga, you will still see and hear references to said highway despite it no longer existing in the city.It sounds like someome decided "their" project should have a nice round number. I think the only reason Hurontario is numbered 10 is for to be cute and match the old "Highway 10" designation. Which I get, but also kind of hate.It sounds like someome decided "their" project should have a nice round number. The waterfront lrt is part of the TTC streetcar network and will probably have a 500 series number to match it.With 5 & 6 taken, and 7 being the EELRT, that leaves only 8 & 9... weren't there at least a couple more lines in the works/hypotheticals that could use those 2 numbers? Maybe like the Waterfront LRT?
And is also a number high enough not to interfere with TTC's lines in the foreseeable future. Hopefully by the time TTC has a 10th line, Line 2 and Perhaps line 5 and Line 6 or branches will intersect Line 10. And save us the silliness such as Seoul Line 1 having intersections with Seoul Line 2 (at least thrice) and both Incheon Line 1 and Incheon Line 2.I think the only reason Hurontario is numbered 10 is for to be cute and match the old "Highway 10" designation.
