I get where @Undead is coming from.

On one hand, it's harmless - but it also feels like it is implying something that isn't so on behalf of the forums at large (ie. almost misrepresenting how we all refer to it).
Would be more appropriate to move from "aka" to "as I like to call it" ...

I also know it as Champagne Corner (thanks to JA). So aka fits.

I get it too but it's simply not worth the hassle it causes in here to fight it. Presumably we're all here because we share some common interests. Personally, I'd rather pick more substantial battles.

I've been trying not to say this out loud so thank you You know how places get nicknames it's by one person calling it that one time and then it catching on sometimes it takes years sometimes it takes two days everyone has a right to call it what they want as long as It isn't offensive

Yeah, I personally enjoy the nickname, it's fitting for the area. And kind of comical.
 
Everyone has their quirks. I sometimes give names to specific corners of intersections.

The late Kevin A. Lynch wrote a book called “The Image of the City” and I am simply applying the concepts laid out in that book. If giving names to specific corners of intersections helps me create a mental map of the city, that is perfectly acceptable.
