You have to do it with unaided awareness. Ask "Who owns _______?" instead of "Does LiUNA own _____?"

UGH so it took forever to get it to give me the PROPER response as it kept merging this info together:

Management: The lot is currently managed by Impark (Lot #36).
Ownership History: For decades, this surface lot has been a point of contention for urban planners who want to see it developed. Historically, it was part of the land assembly for the massive Eaton Centre/Jackson Square development.
Current Status: Unlike the Lister Annex (which was a "missing tooth" lot now being filled by LiUNA), this specific corner lot (26 James St N) remains a surface parking area with no currently active, publicly confirmed construction plan from Core Urban or LiUNA.
The Ownership Breakdown at that Intersection:
North Side (Lister Block & Annex): Owned by the City of Hamilton (following LiUNA's restoration).
South Side (Restored Offices/Bread Bar): Owned and developed by Core Urban Inc..
Corner Parking Lot (Southwest Corner): Managed by Impark.

Development on this specific corner is complex because it is a privately owned commercial lot not currently bundled with the city-partnered projects like the Lister Block. Until a developer (such as Core Urban or LiUNA) formally acquires the lot and proposes a design that satisfies Heritage Hamilton requirements, the exposed walls of the former Zellers/Pratt site will remain visible.

Blah.. so we have to look forward to this being a ragged empty tooth on this street for all eternity..

Guys... Don't use AI. It's like asking a humanities PhD to explain particle physics. It's the wrong tool. AI just makes up facts being confidently wrong. Click on links and read. I've showered and the owner information isn't posted anywhere so AI won't know the answer.

Like I said, you can apparently go to city hall and just review ownership for any properties in the city.

I think impark is right though, I seem to recall that name coming up in the past..

Impark is just a parking operator, they aren't necessarily the owner. They're like a rental property manager, they may be the face you see, but not the owner.

I'm not sure if Impark actually owns any property, but if they do that may not include this one.

I'm in the building next-door, it would be nice to have something so we aren't just shedding heat into a vacant lot. Not really sure who uses that lot either as its not the cheapest option by a longshot.

Most appropriate use of that space personally, would be 5 - 6 storeys. The 50 storey tower or towers mentioned above would be an easy fit across the street at old Eaton's Centre. That's probably the property with the most outrageous potential in the core.

And the most controversial - they stated they didn't just want it to be an empty dirt plot.. I honestly think Id prefer that over the zombie mall.. still.. the 5 condos on this plot design I felt was a colossal waste of that spot, so maybe it was for the best. Esp. that inner triangle design which would be a magnet for druggies, you can't have any design that gives people "sneaky" areas to do stuff..

Wingstop will be opening on this Friday February 20 and First of two Wingstop Hamilton locations, Lime Ridge will be opening next month. @Stec will be happy too

Personally I love to eat chicken wings a lot, I buy fresh chicken wings from the grocery store (Denningers or Lococo’s) and order them from Kelsey’s and pizza places. Wingstop could be my go to spot for the my favourite chicken wings.

FINALLY!!! And right on my payday I hope they have a loyalty program because I will be sure to join and get my frequent flyer miles I am sure hehe :p

Youuu know 30 stories is the most they can do buster lol

And yeah it might suck for supercrawl UNLESS they design a space with that in MIND - like a giant atrium that would replicate the beer gardens area. I mean, let's face it, having undeveloped areas where buildings used to be as expected spaces for other venues is not a good idea long-term.. besides.. we have that giant hole on king street now you can put that in lol.. ahh.. bitter..
