Who exactly do you think will hang out at McDonald's. Again I ask of you, have you been to an urban McDonald's. Because it really seems like y'all haven't if that's what you want here.
Yes. Many times in many places. And your mileage may vary.

And I still think it is okay to not like homelessness and like McDonald's at the same time. Maybe it's difficult to get the perfect scenario in place, but one can dream.

And my point still holds that the lack of name brands in downtown Hamilton is a bad sign. You might not like McDonald's or Chick-fil-A or The Gap or American Eagle or Aritzia or Hot Topic or whatever, but the fact that many/most such chains stay far away is not a good thing.

Honestly would be very surprised to see any national restaurant chains come into this stretch. 100% of all that has happened to date has been from local entrepreneurs.

Here’s the shots and it will be perfect for UT year end of the year poll (Photos from November 12, 2024)

I was planning to get a two more perfect shots around the whole building on King William at Hughson and King William at Mary but I hold it off for now.

Wingstop, First Ontario Credit Union and Kinton Ramen announced as the retail tenants on the building's Instagram page.

Wingstop seems a bit out of place on King William Street. Wasn't there a sports bar that popped up at the Lister Block for like two years before shutting down?

IIRC the sports bar was Wendel Clark's (former Toronto Maple Leafs player).

Maybe Wingstop was the first to offer to pay full asking rent for the space 🤷‍♂️

My partner and I alone will keep Wingstop in business we will take that elevator ride down quite frequently for these wings lol! Also looking forward to Kinton Ramen they have been working hard in their unit for quite some time now. As for First Ontario CU I have been looking for an excuse to ditch TD since I'm not happy with them, the convenience factor would be awesome!

I ditched TD for FirstOntario myself, probably 12 years ago, and would highly recommend! Anyone not yet with a credit union, do consider switching.
It was disappointing when FO closed their only downtown branch (they turned 1 James St S into a business branch only, not for regular members) so I am thrilled to hear that they'll have a revived presence on Gore Park and be more accessible in Hamilton's core again.
