Construction on the greenway trail will start this month, according to a construction notice posted today on Metrolinx's website. Construction is supposed to last until spring 2027. The south sidewalk on Dupont will be closed for the full two years.
Finally! I know a lot of us in the area had been waiting for this to start for quiet some time. Glad to see it's starting construction.

Here's the current state of the Davenport end. I'm curious to see how they're going to use this end for access - off Foundry and through the hydro corridor (see chain link fences in 3rd image), perhaps?

Yeah, those death stairs are supposed to be replaced with a ramp that slopes down eastward to Davenport. Pretty sure there are renderings earlier in thread. Definitely looking forward to that change, especially in winter.

Davenport Road will see lane reductions underneath the rail bridge from June 23 to June 30 for greenway construction. Bike lanes will be closed for the week, and one sidewalk will be closed as well.

Theres now a trail that goes through Earslcourt Park, even though Google Maps refuses to show it. They should connect the end of the greenway trail to it. With a signalized crossing or something.

One could then bike through the cemetery north of the park and continue up until Eglinton cycletracks and the Beltline.

A revitalization of the hydro trail and connection to the west with a pedestrian bridge over the GTS rail would be nice too.

The connection over the railway corridor (or under rather) is supposed to be provided via the Gunns Road extension, whenever that gets done. At least that was the plan. Not sure if it's happening.

The green would be the MUP's relevant to your route.

Unless I mistake your meaning, there is a signalized crossing at Davenport Rd and Caledonia Park Rd, so it's part of the way there at least.

Unfortunately, there has been almost no information available as to when this St. Clair - Keele project will begin. Hard to believe it's been seven years since that consultation FFS!

Penciled in for 2031 currently.

Don't take that as gospel....these things change, often.
