Terrible residential layout for the proposed changes in Phase II. I have always said that this project is pretty on the outside but garbage on the inside. Thankfully, most of us will enjoy from the outside.

Why would the developers want to do this given the lack of demand in the housing market right now?

Agree with Civdis, although developers care about selling units at a profit. They care little whether buyers are happy with their condos or get lower prices upon re-sale due to awkward/garbage layouts. Unfortunately, a lot of people aren't very good at reading floor plans or envisioning them spatially. Buyer beware.

Some buyers may not care about garbage layouts either - investors who plan to rent the units out or turn them into airbnbs.
