Out with the old garbage streetcars and in with the new. This isn’t a streetcar line.

The streetcars are not garbage, they are integral to the downtown transit system. 10 lines carry over 320K people per day, or about 32K passengers per line.

I think Scarborough residents would be ok with elevated rail if it was the subway emerging from the earth instead of the RT (aka no transfer). BD should have been extended as elevated into Scarborough all those years ago.

There weren't the numbers then, and there aren't now to justify it.

So they could use old "streetcars" on the Crosstown or other LRT's. Maybe converting some as workcars, as is converting their track gauge to operate on them.

Subway and legacy streetcar network are the same TTC gauge (1,495 mm). The Crosstown LRT and SRT are standard gauge (1,435 mm).

At least the cost would be acceptable if elevated. A lower cost would mean the funding envelope has breathing room for 3 stations which makes the ridership credible.

Very hard to get shots of Keelesdale and Caledonia Station and of the west portal. Lots of equipment in the way since non working day.

Crew working in various location and it wasn't the only site I saw crews working today.
