It's clear from the picture above that if we build transit in the middle of the street Toronto will become a bizarre scary world with doppelgangers everywhere. Can't have that.

And cars will all have sinister tinted windows. Brr.

well how would they know, they all have their windows tinted. For all we know every one of those cars could be like this:

Did Miller have anything to do with Eglinton Connects?

Miller obviously created the opportunity for it to occur but AFAIK the initial report, the EA, and funding were entirely under Ford's watch.

All trees start off as saplings. Something people forget about when they plant them.

Why not apply the exact same finishing as was done on Hi-way 7 ? Probably will cost way too much ? Everything from the stations to the sidewalk treatment up there is pretty extravagant ..

Damn Miller for even suggesting that rapid transit be expanded and extended into all corners of Toronto and at a lower cost to the taxpayer.

Yes, but he also glossed-over a critical component of Eglinton, and ensured that a unified Crosstown-S(L)RT will remain as two unconnected and distinct pieces. While simultaneously affirming Toronto's closed-mindedness towards the realm of transit infrastructure that exists between costly tunneled subways and (non-rapid transit) in-median lrt.
