I will celebrate if I am wrong. But the numbers being inferred here are not the same ones as were stated in the Dec 10 TTC Board meeting.
Idk where the other poster is coming from, its definitely more than 40 mins per direction. Looking at the difference between the 7:10am and 5:40am start times? But that's doesn't explain anything as that is start time from different ends, not a round trip. Both public info (the Board meeting you cited) and other sources point to a 55ish min travel time per direction.

10-15 minutes from Mount Dennis to Cedervale and 40-45 minutes from there to Kennedy would fit. This is also assuming the first eastbound train turns at Kennedy to become the first westbound.

That sign also reveals the round trip time between Cedervale and Kennedy is about 90 minutes including a layover at Kennedy. So probably around 40 minutes one way.
40 minutes for 19 km is 28.5 km/h. That's faster than Line 1 and 2 in practice because of persistent slow-zones and other delays. Knowing what we know about Line 6 and TTC operations, does that speed make sense for a line with a manually operated ~8 km eastern surface section with 14 traffic lights? The copium is strong here. And still I hope by some miracle you're right about 40 minutes, I am just being realistic here.

Yeah reading this again (realizing its specific to Cedarvale). The original poster is prob somewhat accurate. Here's an example assuming a 115 min RTTT.
5:28am-5:43am: Mount Dennis to Cedarvale (15 mins)
5:43am-6:25am: Cedarvale to Kennedy (42 mins)
6:25am-6:29am: Layover at Kennedy (4 mins)
6:29am-7:11am: Kennedy to Cedarvale (42 mins)
7:10am-7:24am: Cedarvale to Mount Dennis (14 mins)

He is saying from Cedarvale to Kennedy, not Mount Dennis. So about 14.5km = 22km/h.

TTC notice on January 22, 2025.

It’s not even open yet and there’s signal issues!

Apologies if this has been previously posted, this is a busy thread!

But a user, maxcentury, on Reddit posted updated signage at Cedarvale Station which includes the span of service (start to end times each day) for the Crosstown.

I trust this is for a soft opening only as that is a very early closure.
This is the output at Don Valley.

So if these aren't red herrings, then they imply an initial ~20-22minute travel time between Cedarvale and Don Valley.

(There is a similar sign at Kennedy that was operational when I was there ~1.5mos ago. Don't remember the time there, but do I remember it also said Line 5 would operate @ 5-6 minutes)

There are 9 stations between Don Valley and Cedarvale.

22 minutes / 9 stations = 2m 20s per station (i.e., travelling + dwell time). That seems pretty good.

Most people coming from the east will get off at Eglinton. There are 5 stations between Don Valley and Eglinton.

2.33 minutes * 5 stations = 11m 40s to get from Don Valley to Eglinton. That will be much quicker than the bus.

This is pretty promising if the TTC can adhere to these times, and that's a massive IF
