That is exactly the opposite of what Steve reported..Link to the full article: https://stevemunro.ca/2025/12/05/metrolinx-hands-line-5-crosstown-to-ttc/
Interesting that the operating hours will be 5:30am to 2:30am and will not replicate the “soft opening” conditions of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m being used for Finch.
It means 6 months later that will be the service.Link to the full article: https://stevemunro.ca/2025/12/05/metrolinx-hands-line-5-crosstown-to-ttc/

Mid Feb makes no sense. It took Finch 6 weeks between RSD end to opening. By all accounts, the timing should be faster for Eglinton. Which would mean early Jan. I don't see how the TTC needs another 2+ months to get this thing going.
Because they would have to reprint and install new maps again not long after doing that for the Finch West line.I thought that the TTC putting up maps with line 5 on them meant it was a couple weeks from opening. If it's really not opening for a couple months+, then that was a really dumb move.
There is no shortage of dumb moves of the TTC lolI thought that the TTC putting up maps with line 5 on them meant it was a couple weeks from opening. If it's really not opening for a couple months+, then that was a really dumb move.
And if they had put up maps with only the 6 on them, and had to reprint them a month or two later with the 5 on it, you guys would be complaining at how much money they're wasting. There is no shortage of dumb moves of the TTC lol
Can't speak for others but I wouldn't be complaining lolAnd if they had put up maps with only the 6 on them, and had to reprint them a month or two later with the 5 on it, you guys would be complaining at how much money they're wasting.
What's the context of this? I'm not sure what I'm looking for.Nov 27
