Great Scott, are people really posting at 3 and 4 in the morning? I see at least four examples just on this page.

Gotta wonder if the website's clock and/or time zone are set incorrectly. Are people on the far side of the world that interested in Toronto transit? Or is the real reason for all the 'priestly prognostications' be simple sleeplessness?
As noted above, I see 3 and 4 PM. But if you do see a morning post: sometimes, people from the city travel.

Sleep Apnea is a thing.

I certainly don't arise at 4am thinking I've over slept my post at UT alarm.

But I do wake up, often, and sometimes need awhile before I can settle back in...............so sure......I do post that early at times.

I had some 3 am posts last night in other threads.

So is retirement. I'm partially retired, and always been a night owl. It's rare I have any commitments before 10 or 10:30 AM and work at home. And I always catch up on sleep over the weekend, so if I go to bed too early on a Sunday night, I just toss and turn. So I usually while making hot chocolate or something around 3 or 3:30 AM take a look, before getting 6 hours sleep, rather than the usual 7 to 8. And occasionally I just wake at 5 am or something with only 3 hours sleep, and walking around the house, raiding the fridge, and checking email, etc., I've found works better than just lying there.

Have you tried CPAP Northern? It might have saved my life - or at least my sanity. I certainly don't wake up in the middle of the night anymore, gasping for breath, feeling I'm suffocating. Or snore (if I ever did ... but there's different viewpoints here on that :) ).

I have that, but it doesn't wake me...

Funny to think that Metrolinx at one point was in a panic thinking the vehicles were being delivered too slowly and that they wouldn't all arrive in time so they reduced their order and got Alstom (pre-Bombardier) to build the Finch West vehicles. Now, all the vehicles were delivered long ago and are ancient and in need of maintenance. Their panic was so detached from reality... even then as Bombardier was making progress on improving their TTC streetcar supply chains.

They were also looking for a reason to reduce the order since two lines were canceled. It significantly increased the per unit cost.

Well hindsight is 20/20. I dont think anyone anticipated the massive underpinning issues at eglinton and the covid 19 pandemic. But then again Bombardier did themselves no favors by their own delays. I said it back then, it doesnt matter what the end-user wants to do with the vehicles after deliver be it run it or have them sit dormant for years in storage, bbr had a contractual obligation to deliver the vehicles by a certain date. They failed to do so hence why they lost their contract.

My source for the Line6 update is from inside the TTC. Cannot post the official notice here unfortunately.

I’m sure the media will get the notice for the morning news.
