Went for a wee visit to Renforth Station.... Took some of the closeout of the tunnel entrance work.

Been a bit since my last update of the Scarlett Rd portal and station. The roof of the TBM shaft has been completed, I think it was just waterproofed (with tar by the smell of it).

As well (no photos) the track bed of the portal ramp appears to be about a metre below the current access road (between the chainlink fences in the picture below), which I assume means the site access road will be removed before construction of the viaduct and station

Bonus: a little cameo from a celebrity building
The One is now visible from just east of Scarlett Road (and at the top of the stairs on the NW corner, but I didn't get a photo from there. Should be a good view of downtown from Scarlett station once completed.

Crombie unveils plan to address safety concerns on Toronto transit system

Ontario Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie has pledged to install platform barriers at all Toronto subway stations, increase crisis intervention teams and hire more constables for transit services across the province.

Does that mean the Eglinton West Line 5 extension will include platform doors?

(If Line 5 will not open in 2025, will they install platform doors on current Eglinton Crosstown LRT underground stations while we wait for the opening?)

I think it was already confirmed that every new Metrolinx project will include PSDs, including the SSE and YNSE.
