Wasn't there supposed to be an additional car to be kept in front or near the Scarborough Civic Centre? What happened to that plan?
HCR has two I'm guessing that the other pair from this one was the one that was scrapped so it's probably not worth doing anything else with except for scrapI know Detroit bought most of the old SRT cars. I imagine HCRR got one as well.. not sure what the Zoo will be doing with one.
HCRR took two, but only one will survive in full, the other will be partially retained as a cab viewing area for visitors.HCR has two I'm guessing that the other pair from this one was the one that was scrapped so it's probably not worth doing anything else with except for scrap
They really should do the same with the front end of 5619, it barely takes up any space compared to a full subway car.the other will be partially retained as a cab viewing area for visitors.
Are they moving forward with the maglev people mover? An update: this car will become part of a station for the new zoo people mover.
Haven’t heard anything about it since 2020 or so. Can’t find any more info other than the initial PR.Are they moving forward with the maglev people mover?
The whole zoo train is going to fit inside the RT train????Haven’t heard anything about it since 2020 or so. Can’t find any more info other than the initial PR.
I knew I didn’t hear incorrectly on the news, though:
But this is the only source I can find that mentions a new zoo train.
Last I checked, Square One and Sherway don’t either. So STC is the only major mall without a direct connection to a transit line ? Pretty dumb oversight
Not remotely. Sherway Gardens, Square One, Vaughan Mills, all major malls also without a rapid transit connection. So STC is the only major mall without a direct connection to a transit line ? Pretty dumb oversight
And Markville and PTC (if we're talking about a subway line). Enough of the Scarborough crybully victim olympics.
edit: also Shops at Don Mills.
Yeah pretty dumb not not needed oversightNot remotely. Sherway Gardens, Square One, Vaughan Mills, all major malls also without a rapid transit connection.
As for the dumb oversight, you can thank Rob Ford and his enablers for that.
To clarify non of those malls have lines near by if I'm not mistaken. I thought VMC was near Vaughn Mills mall tho, a station should probably be thereNot remotely. Sherway Gardens, Square One, Vaughan Mills, all major malls also without a rapid transit connection.
