There are still 58 unfulfilled orders of the Q400. They are somewhat popular in Asia.
58 is not a huge number but considering only 600 q400's have ever been built its not peanuts..

As a not infrequent flyer on the Q400, I am becoming a little concerned about its dodgy undercarriage.

Good news for all the other airports. Of course YYZ T1 will push for its expansion, while YHM pushes dust balls around its passenger terminal.

We need to allow non Canadian airlines to fly between tier 2 airports in Canada. Let's get some competition.

The amendments consist of a minimal landmass extension to enable RESA, as well as a 12-year extension of the Tripartite Agreement to December 31, 2045, to enable financing of this large-scale project.

The amended Tripartite Agreement also recognizes that the parties will discuss a longer-term lease extension and renegotiation of the agreement to ensure ongoing and future operations of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

Never say never, but it really doesn't look like jets are coming to this airport, and you'd have plenty of warning before that ever happened, because the debate/conflict/electioneering would be intense.
