Getting a bike in midtown is basically impossible right now.Wanted to share this from Reddit:
It really does sound like things have been getting worse with balancing.

So time to dust off this thread...........
There were a couple of new docks put in back in January, but I didn't think it was sufficient at the time to merit a post.
However, believe it or not, in the midst of all this snow....another half dozen, plus one have since been added.
Bikeshare now has 269 stations city-wide.
Here are the new docks/stations thus far in 2025:

Apologies if this has already been shared - I'm super excited about Bike Share docks coming to the Green P on Pacific Avenue/Dundas St W - across from Darren's No Frills in The Junction. This will fill a gap and help with all the No Frills shoppers who cycle to or from the store; their bike racks are insufficient for the number of people who do.
I saw them pop up in January when they installed the electric vehicle charging stations but I'm guessing they will be activated in the spring? Looks like 24 spots.

Perhaps these will also be the ones that can charge e-bikes. It would make sense if they just did work for electric car chargers.
Doing that is a recipe for all the bikes to be at the pier by 10am and all of them to be back by some point in the afternoon. Unless the plan is to put bike share staff on the island for rebalancing, there will be yet another data point in favour of providing customers incentives to move the bikes around for them.It seems like they should have a dock somewhere near the pier so that people can bike from the ferry dock and leave a bike there while they picnic/repose/swim/etc.
Maybe, though I think people would use them to get across the island e.g. to the cafe on Ward's Island, so they wouldn't stay at the pier all day. But there would be a tendency towards that for sure.Doing that is a recipe for all the bikes to be at the pier by 10am and all of them to be back by some point in the afternoon.
