Happy to see this project swap-over to "Purpose Built Rental" (PBR) -vs- Condo.

I am assuming that at 53-Storeys & 591 apartments, this is likely the going to become the largest Single-Tower PBR building in Ontario when it completes, right..?

Can anyone thing of anything bigger for "Single-Tower PBR" in Ontario..??

You're not going to tell them why the retail is being cut in 1/2? Pffft

Someone is in a hurry to catch up on the latest episode of Kelly Clarkson..... LOL

Pretty much as expected. When they switched to PBR, my first thought was "Where are they going to put the rental office? Offsite?". This answers that question.

They really don't need retail there. This area is flooded with retail. It's a 5 minute walk from the Eaton Centre.

Also, as I've lived in bigger and bigger rental buildings over the years, "the bigger the rental building, the bigger the office" or they are falling over each other... or in my current building's case, the leasing agents "office/desk" is a tiny meeting room because they have no space to put them.

This is a good thing for the future staff.

The pit has been cleared completely and the excavator was pulled out by a massive heavy lift crane. Looks like forms are being setup to start pouring concrete... no dust on their shoes!

If it is being changed to purpose-built rental, is Graywood refunding monies to those who purchased condo units in this building, or would it be combination of owned and rented units?

Graywood already gave everyone their money back. That would have happened in 2024.

Dundas from Church to Jarvis might be the ugliest part of the city, architecturally. this one looks like it will respect that tradition
agreed , as I live on Dalhousie in one of the original buildings , a complete waste of an opportunity to make a design destination so to speak , most of the towers were built on empty lots or rotting 2 storey strips of buildings the laziness ia sad disappointment , the social baloney glass was a sell. out , should have been white glass , at least the hood has been cleaned up 90 percent
