The crane has sprung and is now visible from my vantage point. It looks like the building will block most of my view of Social so that's a win.

We've already covered that too, brother:
This is 100% client apathy. TFAI will do spandrel in any colour you like. This is either a deliberately chosen gray or Graywood just going "I don't care, make it whatever" (and I honestly don't know which one is worse).
 
I think this about the rut we all fall into of things that should be versus things that are. So the offense is not about expressing something we don't like but rather about our understanding of how it got to there in the first place... >.<
