I love some nice mature trees and advocate to protect them. At first glance looking at those they do look a bit large and overgrown for the space they occupied blocking a lot of natural light from some of those units. My questions are did they all need to go? Is there opportunity to prune these type of trees back? Was there concern with their encroachment on those overhead lines?

I was just in the Netherlands. They had lots of interesting pruned trees which I didnt really think to take many pics of. But on a few occassions I noted they didnt fully cut down trees but left some of the tree up and I liked it.
