Actually just yesterday during a press conference Chow said she’d be open to Metrolinx taking over Eglinton East and Waterfront LRTs…I wish I had recorded it I couldn’t believe it. Tory admitted to having a say in it. And defended it at the time. If I remember correctly, he was criticized for not bringing it up while campaigning for re-election. It was pretty much designed for Tory at the time with the limited right wing councilors.I don't recall him getting much of a say.
It is a big financial relief for cities. Even Ottawa's mayor is so giddy at the idea of Ontario taking responsibility for O-Train expansion.
