Pardon my ignorance but has anyone confirmed that the hotel is going in Selkirk House or is this just remours. I know it will be converted, but just looking for some background here.

Was it in Waterton? Cause I saw someone do that with bikes on a roof rack at the Waterton Lakes Lodge Resort.

Holy crap, that’s exactly where it was! I’m sure I’m not the only doofus who has done that, but if you saw it around 10 years ago, chances are it was me. My wife’s bike has never been the same after that.

I once did that while transporting some canvases in an old moving van that I borrowed that had a roof rack in the ACAD parkade. It almost knocked the rack off the roof. Managed to somehow slide it back on. The van was destined for the junkyard anyways so thankfully it didn't cost me anything.

Yeah a converted generic 80’s office building doesn’t really scream luxury.
It wouldn't even be good enough for Statler and Waldorf.

LoL a Waldorf making its grand entry into the Canadian luxury hospitality market through that?! They have exceptional design and operational requirements which makes this site and current bldg profile unfeasible to achieve and near impossible to fit in all the internal services a prestige tier brand demands. Now the site across the street where Lacaille had those Grand plan for a 'King' sized tower, that on the other hand would be a prime spot for a 5 star hotel and residence tower..
Selkirk will likely be some boutique brand for a hospitality tenant instead, similar to a Westley which is down the street.
