This appears to be a few weeks old since the multi use path on the north side along Orlando Ave and the pedestrian signals at Orlando/Vogell have since been added.

Not sure if this was spoken of before, but that 410 SB to 403 WB transition is absolutely horrible. The fact you go from 3 lanes to just 1 lane to actually get on the 403, on top of any traffic from 401 WB trying to exit at Eglinton or Cawthra, it's just all a mess and needs to be improved on.

add it to the list of a million capacity problems on the network that Ford is constantly not putting any money towards fixing despite his ridiculous rhetoric.

Having done this many a time, I tend to agree. Thankfully it is not a part of my commute, just my way home from the cottage. But yeah the number of lanes that remain from 410 makes no sense. I would think 2 lanes from 410 and 2 from 401, totalling the 4 that 403 has (1 HOV + 3 GP) would make more sense.

I don't see any particular reason rest stops like On Route should not exist in urban centres. They are obviously more important in more rural areas, but if they attract enough business to sustain themselves in an urban area, what would we shut them down? Seems arbitrary if there is demand for it, and keeps unnecessary traffic off of local streets.

Exactly. I absolutely despise having to get off the 401 in the GTA for a bio break or whatever when all I want to do is get from Kitchener to Ottawa/Quebec, but have already spent 90 minutes in stop-and-slow traffic. I wish there was something in the east around Pickering, but the proximity to the tracks immediately south of the 401 leaves nowhere to put it.

Election promises coming to light?

The 401 repaving east of Guelph are moving nicely, looks nearly completed, the nightly lane reductions have been a pain with my work hours

Tremaine NEW on ramps although not estimated until summer 2026 look very close to paving
