I couldn't believe that all it took to move something up 15 months was $73 million. Peanuts on a $212B budget

It is amassing what 7/24 work will do for a project like this. All projects should be 7/24 where possible. The $73m is about 35% increase to the main budget.

For sure, I just mean when you add up the value of all the hours over 18 months that people spent in traffic, $73 is just pretty small.

For sure, I just mean when you add up the value of all the hours over 18 months that people spent in traffic, $73 is just pretty small.

So you save a few hours now but you will loose it in the coming years as more cars hit the roads and back to square one. Cities were not built for cars but people when there was no thing of a car or transit. Transit play a big part for building Toronto before and after the arrival of the cars.

Blue Jays World Series dates throw a curve in city’s plan to wrap up Gardiner construction next week​

I doubt they will close any major arterials this weekend or between October 30th to November 1st.

Both of those are home dates for the World Series and traffic will be bad.

These are exceptional circumstances.

I doubt anyone had Blue Jays going to the World Series on their bingo card when they scheduled things.
