Update: And it has appeared to have pass 51- 50. /blehMusk is threatening to start his own "America Party" if the One Big Beautiful Bill Act passes the Senate...
...that doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence. It still has to go back to the House for approval
A party he could never lead to the White House.Musk is threatening to start his own "America Party" if the One Big Beautiful Bill Act passes the Senate...
I was listening to Pod Save America today and the guest (whose name I forget) said there is still a small chance of stopping it. It just needs a couple of people to grow a backbone....that doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence.
I suppose on the "brighter" side, the Senate Dems did force a name change on the bill...you go, Chuck! /s
That’s not important. Many of the original US founding fathers were not born in what would become the USA. For example, the now Broadway-famous Alexander Hamilton was born in Nevis (British West Indies), while James Wilson was born in in Scotland, Albert Gallatin in Switzerland, Thomas Paine in England, and William Paterson in Ireland. Like Musk, none of these foreigners could serve as President, but they still had a hand on the tiller. Musk would have the resources to fund and network a new party and front a applicable leader, however unlikely it was to succeed.A party he could never lead to the White House.
I suspect that wouldn't be his goal here...rather just draw off enough support to stop the Rethugs gaining the WH again, I gather.A party he could never lead to the White House.
I heard that too. /blehWhat is scary is JD Vance’s comments about how the medication and debt issues aren’t important but the proposed ICE funding is.
The US doesn't really have a constitution anymore so I can't imagine this would stop anyone.A party he could never lead to the White House.
Thanks to SCOTUS (6-3) the US doesn't really have a rule of law anymore. Only "I am the law!" edicts issued by his leadership. /blehThe US doesn't really have a constitution anymore so I can't imagine this would stop anyone.
...I am pretty sure at this point "illegals" [sic] is anyone they don't like or even disagree with. /blehDon't worry guys, they told us they would only deport the "illegals" [sic]
